Pete started his guitar-making odyssey with a basic cigar box guitar, and soon progressed to fashioning electrics. The prime driver was the lack of choice for left-handed players. He felt that there was room for more solid wood-bodied electrics and set about choosing interesting woods. Favouring a thicker neck himself, he experimented with different neck shapes and body shapes, complementing them with quality machine heads and pick ups.
